Clay Guida vs. Hatsu Hioki added to UFC on FOX 6 in Chicago | UFC News
After a long run in the UFC’s lightweight division, Clay Guida (29-13 MMA, 9-7 UFC) will now make his featherweight debut when he meets Hatsu Hioki (26-5-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) in Chicago at UFC on FOX 6.
Guida dropped a close split decision to Gray Maynard in the main event of UFC on FX 4 in June. Prior to that loss, Clay was defeated in a lightweight title eliminator match by Benson Henderson at UFC on FOX 1. The loss to “Bendo” snapped a four-fight win streak for Guida, which included victories over Takanori Gomi and Anthony Pettis.
Hioki, who until recently was regarded by many as the #2 featherweight in the world, was upset by Ricardo Lamas at UFC on FX 4 in June. That setback snapped a six-fight win streak for the Japanese fighter and was just his second loss since 2007.
UFC on FOX 6 takes place January 26 at Chicago’s United Center and will mark the promotion’s second trip to that venue. UFC on FOX 2 took place there this past January. The main card will air on FOX with prelims on FUEL TV.
Here is that latest UFC on FOX 6 Line-up:
- Champion Demetrious Johnson vs. John Dodson (Flyweight title)
- Donald Cerrone vs. Anthony Pettis
- Quinton Jackson vs. Glover Teixeira
- Clay Guida vs. Hatsu Hioki
- Erik Koch vs. Ricardo Lamas
- Shawn Jordan vs. Mike Russow
- T.J. Grant vs. Matt Wiman

Who cares? He should leave Gag Jacksons camp.
Guida should have been released after what he did in Maynard fight. Greg “NO ACTION” Jackson should have been banned from UFC after that embarressment. Why not just turn down a fight if you are that afraid to fight someone. wait Condit was scared to he was allowed to steal a title shot by being a coward
Hioki will sub guida’s punk ass
You mean like Pettis? Come on guys give this dude a chance he has always been a gritty fighter
