The guys name is Josh Gow, he’s a 135er and friends with Pena in and out of the gym sounds like an accident to me. Guess will find out when Pena gives her statement.

It’s all speculation but what I’m hearing is she may have had damage to her knee prior to sparring (that she kept to herself), and by twisting her knee with Gows weight on her she fucked it up real good!….. An accident that could have been prevented had Pena been upfront!

You’re Not blaming her are you ?? All fighters fight with injuries. You’re saying that she has to announce her injuries ? why isn’t Gow speaking up for himself? it would definitely stop the the rumors

I’m just saying, we don’t know what she may of had torn before she really blew it out sparring with her friend and teammate. I just think something stinks about the whole fiasco.

Agreed , but it doesn’t seem like the rumors are gong to stop until either Pena or Gow speak up

Has Gow gotten into the witness protection program yet?

I do not know the whole story but if the man is at fault that is not cool. However training wise, I feel that men and women should spar together and roll together because it would help women learn how to deal with a stronger fighter as men are generally stronger and bigger. I am no judo expert however I would often roll with higher weight classes in my judo class and guys bigger than me as well as more advanced than me. Having said that, I do not know if the injury was on purpose or not, and one should not bully a weaker person and know when to stop.
