Chris Leben Officially Retires From MMA

Unfortunately for fight fans, nine-year UFC veteran, Chris Leben, has announced his retirement today.

‘The Crippler’ used ‘The MMA Hour’ as the platform to announce his exodus from the sport.

“As far as competing in the UFC, I think I am pretty much done”, stated Leben. “I’ve retired from competing in MMA.”

Leben leaves the sport on the heels of a four-fight losing streak. The TUF 1 pioneer saw 22-fights inside the UFC’s Octagon during his time with the promotion and went an overall 12-10 as a UFC fighter.

Much respect. I used to hate him on TUF 1, but he made a fan out of me. His victory over Wanderlei Silva (and his celebration afterwards) was one of the highlights of 2011 for me.
