Charlie Brenneman Meets Erick Silva At UFC on FX 3

A welterweight bout between two top prospects has been added to the UFC on FX 3 show in the form of Charlie Brenneman vs. Erick Silva.

UFC on FX 3 is tentatively scheduled for June 8, but a location and venue have yet to be revealed by company officials.

Brenneman burst onto the UFC scene and got recognized by fans when he took out the fast rising Rick Story in one of last-years biggest UFC upsets. He went on to face Anthony Johnson in a bout he lost, but recently bounced back with a win over Daniel Roberts to secure his third win in four fights.

Silva will look to rebound from his first UFC defeat. He made headlines and caused a stir amongst MMA fans when he was disqualified at UFC 142 for punching his downed and finished opponent, Carlo Prater, in the back of the head. The decision to not award Silva the victory was very controversial. The loss via DQ snapped his nine-fight win streak.

Can’t wait to see LAY N PRAY Brenneman get his ass kicked again. I think I would rather watch Fitch than Brenneman. At least Fitch pretends he has stand up where ass Brenneman just runs around and dos nothing but shoot and struggle foe takedown and if he can’t get it he’s done and has no otehr MMA skills PERIOD.

  2. Akid says:

    Bye bye Brenneman…..

  3. Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

Brenneman’s helmet hair will protect him from multiple blows to the back of the head.

    • Zack says:

One strike to the back of the head. Vitor vs Franklin and vitor vs Akiyama was multiple shots to the back of the head

      • Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

Vitor is a repeat offender and I counted at least 3 shots to the back of the Prayter’s head. But, it’s been forever since I watched that fight. Who cares? Next time, I bet he won’t blow his load throwing wild hammer fist on a dangerous region of the skull.

      • GET RID OF FITCH (forever) says:

You guys are such friggen idiots. Did you ever stop and consider how fast Vitor throws his punches and these guys turtle up after punches are thrown. Vitor beat the hell out of Akiyama and Franklin fair and square and it would be same result 10 out of 10 fights. GROW UP

        • Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

I didn’t say he won those fights deceptively or by a fluke. Watch his fight with Akiyama again. He’s laid out flat catching strikes to the back of the head.

The difference between this and Silva vs Prayter is that Vitor beat Akiyama so fast that the ref didn’t have time to warn him for illegal strikes.

is there TUF Brasil tonight? or what time does it stream on

    • Hjortur Halldorsson says:

Yeah the second episode airs tonight. Here are the information about air time: Episode 2 – Sunday, April 1st at 9pm/12am PT/ET on

The first episode looked great and I’m actually more excited about this show then TUF team Cruz vs team Faber. Brazil can produce fighters there is no denying that.
