Chad Mendes Hoping For Title Shot By Years End

“I would really like to fight for the title this year. But ultimately it’s up to the UFC and these guys… Right now I’m going to take a little bit of time off. I mean, that was three camps back-to-back-to-back for me, so I just want to rest for a couple weeks.”

Chad “Money” Mendes tells the media at last Saturday’s Post-Fight Press Conference that he would like a second shot at the UFC’s featherweight title before the year is up.

Mendes is riding a three-fight-first-round-finishing streak at the moment which was caped off with a TKO over Darren Elkins during the UFC on FOX 7 preliminary card on FX.

Aldo is already fighting Pettis. So I guess Mendes has to wait for his beating. Who ever wins the Aldo-Pettis fight will stomp Mendes back to the gate.

  2. Gargoyle Wrestling says:

Oh Yah, Mendes should beat Aldo or Pettis, but especially Pettis, he can’t handle wrestlers…..Listen…..can you hear it?,,,,Yah that’s right, it’s the rumble, the growing thunder, the bright lightning of wrestler champions on their way….Many will come out of Alpha male…
