Cesar Gracie Thinks Anderson Silva Will Only Hurt GSP And Be Bad For His Career | UFC NEWS

“The two champs fighting each other, I would not be disappointed, I think it would be great [but] I don’t think they should do it. I think Anderson is way too big, lengthwise and everything for Georges St. Pierre. I don’t see [him] doing very good in that fight at all, I can see him getting really hurt actually and he’s been getting kinda beat up in every fight a bit. He’s been a good champion and everything but I don’t think it’s a good career move. That’s up to them, it’s none of my business, but if they have it I’ll definitely watch it.”

    This is true.
    About the Length Wise, only.
About the part with GSP being beat up a bit.. i do not believe in. He fought Condit, someone who doesnt die easy.
Before that, i dont think he got beat up.

  2. Anderson Silva says:

I think is a biiiig show, a biiig show… an… Georges fight good Condit. He wins? I call him for BBQ. I win? I don know… I win an that’s good. I respect a LOOOT Georges, I respect on the ground, I respect standing, I respect he… I try to do the bess, I haf a compromisse with sponsors… I like fight GSP but it Dana who is decide… An Bee Jay is THE BESSSS

Ofcourse Anderson will hurt him. Anderson hurts every opponent he fights. Silva is taller, but the weight is not such an issue as some say. GSP is a huge WW who cuts a lot. Silva doesn’t cut as much so at fightnight they will weigh about the same.

St.Pierre walks around at 185-190. Silva walks around 215-220. The major difference is, Silva doesn’t have any issues with cutting or gaining weight. GSP does. He’s conditioned himself to be able to drop down to 170. To fight Silva, even in a catch weight of 180, he needs to pack on a lot more mass. Beyond his non-fighting weight. In doing so, it would extremely difficult for him to cut down to 170. That is why he doesn’t want to jump at fight with Silva. He has to do this smart for his career. Once he goes up in weight, he won’t go back down. He’ll end his career at the heavier weight class. Before he got injured, he pretty much cleaned out the WW division, so his consideration to move up to MW was a very good possibility. But since his layoff, he noticed that there are more guys that he can test himself in the WW division. Hence his change of heart to move up just yet. I’m sure Silva can drop down to 170, he’s done it before in the past. But I doubt he will drop that low to fight St. Pierre.

lol wtf bro? anderson cuts huge amounts of weight too more then gsp does. the guy walks around as a heavyweight and cuts like 30-40 pounds to get to 185 silva is like 220 230 b4 he cuts. not sayin gsp would get murdered but i still dont think he would win he would use strength to counter weight and that would tire him out faster NOT A GOOD CAREER FIGHT. at least not for gsp

      • redbud says:

dude ur delusional 230? the guys fought at 170 b4 and everytime hes fought @ 205 hes packed on weight and cut down

      • Xaninho says:

Oh really? He weighed in at 202 on short notice against Bonnar. He doesn’t cut that much, easy to see because he doesn’t look much different at the weigh-ins and fightnight. He might get a little heavier when he hasn’t got a fight planned but that’s fat because he likes the good life and his BBQ too much.

I don’t know what any of you are talking about. GSP has stated several times that he rarely hits 180lbs. He has always walked around at 170-180lbs in his career and has never had some of the issues others had as a result of cutting weight. Because he doesn’t cut hardly any weight at all. Silva walks around at an average of 222. He’s much taller an longer and heavier than GSP. When it comes fight day, GSP is still in the range of 170-180lbs. Silva is back up around 205-210. That’s a huge difference.

Gsp fighting silva is not a good move for gap period. He knows it as well as u can see when plp ask gsp about it his eyes say “hell noooo”

Silva boxes with heavy weights for a start and even those persons dont trouble him. Gsp is a excellent fighter but this fight is to big for him.

Anderson Silva is a master of hurting people. Remember his first fight with Fail Sonnen? He spent most of the time on his back but still managed to fuck up Sonnen’s face.
With GSP, I think that he’ll defend takedown attempts. And if he decides to play with GSP (which I think he’ll do), he’ll destroy his face before finishing him.
That’s one of the reasons I wanna watch this fight.

  8. 757 says:

Who cares what Ceasar says. He is a dick riding on the Diaz brothers coat tails. Nobody heard of him really before Nick and after Nate and Nick nobody will ever hear of him again. GSP shouldn’t have to fight Anderson. Anderson will beat him he is much larger. No shame in that game. GSP is a beast and a great champion. I hope he stays at 170. Hendricks is doing great but beating Kampman and Fitch is not the same as beating GSP. Who knows let’s find out. GSP is the man, and I think they need to let him do his thing at 170.
