At UFC 250, Aldo, who is 0-1 at bantamweight and riding a two-fight losing skid is fighting for the belt against Henry Cejudo. It is a fight the champion called for and one that UFC president Dana White wanted due to Jose Aldo being a legend.

Khabib Nurmagomedov believes he needs to beat Tony Ferguson at UFC 249 to cement his lightweight legacy. The undisputed lightweight champion, Nurmagomedov will put his undefeated record on the line in the main event of UFC 249. The blockbuster event takes place on April 18th 2020 at the Barclays Center in New York. This will be the third time “The Eagle” has defended the 155-pound title and he is expecting it to be, third time lucky. However, he is concerned fans won’t do the same, and will make excuses for “El Cucuy” based on his age. The eagerly anticipated matchup between Nurmagomedov and Ferguson has been in the works for a long time. The lightweight fighters have been previously scheduled to fight a whopping four times. However, both athletes were forced to withdraw from those previously proposed bouts due to medical reasons. Nurmagomedov believes this will be their fifth and final booking. They are expected to face off in the main event of UFC 249 on April 18th, 2020 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

During an interview with MMA Tonight on Sirius XM, Bisping was asked about the upcoming main event title fight. While he praised both Adesanya and challenger Yoel Romero, Bisping said if he was still actively fighting, he’d be able to take the belt off Adesanya “pretty easily”.
