UFC president Dana White listed three possible opponents for UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman’s next fight, and Conor McGregor wasn’t on the list. White was a guest on ESPN Sportscenter on Wednesday, where he answered a number of questions related to upcoming fights. One of the questions White was asked is what’s next for Usman, the UFC welterweight champion who has been connected to fights against McGregor and Jorge Masvidal as of late.

Earlier, McGregor took to social media to give his take on the MMA GOAT conversation where he had Anderson Silva as number one with him at second. Now, days later, he has changed his tune thanks to stats from his coach, John Kavanagh where he has now proclaimed himself the GOAT.

Jorge Masvidal is glad Colby Covington is no longer a member of American Top Team. Covington has been a longtime staple of the gym and said he would be ATT for life. After Burns ran through Demain Maia with a first-round win back in March, he put himself in position for a fight against Woodley but the former champion isn’t ready to compare their past.

UFC 250 among combat sports events in May and June approved by Nevada

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has approved a number of combat sports events coming up in its state, including UFC Fight Night and UFC 250. The commission on Wednesday gave the go-ahead to the UFC and Top Rank boxing to hold four events throughout May and June in Las Vegas. Before she picked up a win over Angela Hill, Claudia Gadelha said there was a lot of stress during her camp and the first COVID-19 test she received came back inconclusive and she was required to quarantine for 24 hours her first day in Jacksonville.

As the UFC works it’s way back to normalcy and continues to put on events, fighters like Cortney Casey are getting back to their jobs. Casey most recently picked up a win at UFC Fight Night on ESPN with a first-round submission win over Mara Romero Borella, and now has accepted a quick turnaround and will meet Gillian Robertson on June 20 for a matchup of flyweights looking to climb up in the division.
