Sean Strickland’s coach has had just about enough of Sal D’Amato at the judges’ table. Last night (Feb. 5), Strickland shared the Octagon with Jack Hermansson. The middleweight scrap headlined UFC Vegas 47 inside the UFC Apex. The bout went the distance and by the time it was over, fight fans and media members felt the decision was clearly in favor of Strickland.

Khamzat Chimaev isn’t backing down from the war of words with Gilbert Burns. Last month, Raphael Marinho of Combate reported that a welterweight collision between Chimaev and Burns is being targeted for UFC 273 on April 9. If the fight materializes, then it’ll be the toughest test of Chimaev’s pro MMA career.

There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding Joe Rogan but he has a supporter in Brazilian President Jair M. Bolsonaro. The Joe Rogan Experience is a polarizing podcast. The endeavor has been quite lucrative for Rogan, earning him a $100 million deal with audio streaming platform Spotify. The service reached over 406 million monthly users at the end of 2021 and many credit a good chunk of that to Rogan.

Amanda Nunes has revealed why she has stepped away from American Top Team in favor of starting her own gym. When Nunes entered the Octagon on Dec. 11, 2021, very few predicted that she would lose to Julianna Pena. To their credit, some experts did call it but “The Lioness” was an overwhelming favorite to win the fight.

The Octagon returned to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 47 event, a thirteen-bout fight card headlined by Jack Hermansson vs. Sean Strickland. The highly anticipated middleweight main event proved to be the story of Sean Strickland’s jab. The American was able to consistently batter the face of ‘The Joker’ with a lightning quick left hand which he used to dictate the contest. The fight went the full twenty-five minutes, but it was pretty clear that Strickland had done enough to get his hand raised… Or so we thought. One judge managed to score the fight for Hermansson, a decision which was booed by the few fans in attendance.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is no longer backing Joe Rogan after a video of the UFC commentator using the N-Word went viral. Earlier this week, Rogan took to Instagram to post a nine minute video addressing accusations that his podcast ‘JRE’ was spreading misinformation concerning Covid-19. The longtime UFC commentator admitted that he enjoys having “interesting conversations with people that have differing opinions”, and admitted he doesn’t “always get it right”, promising to “do better“.

Chad Mendes claims he'll make more money in his BKFC debut than Francis Ngannou made for UFC 270

Chad Mendes is finally set to make his BKFC debut and is apparently getting paid quite a bit of money for his services. Mendes hasn’t fought since 2018 at UFC 232 and he later retired in the summer of 2019. ‘Money’ recently announced his intention to return and signed with BKFC where he will face Joshuah Alvarez in a 155-pound bout on Feb. 19 at BKFC: Knucklemania 2.

Jack Hermansson didn’t expect Khamzat Chimaev to be so strong. Back in November, Hermansson and Chimaev had a freestyle wrestling match which ‘Borz’ won. The two have trained together in the past and even though Hermansson fights a weight class higher, he says his fellow Swede was just as big and strong as him.
