He didn’t fight again until June 9, 2018, at UFC 225 where he fought Mike Jackson. Unfortunately for Punk, the fight did not go his way and he dropped a clear-cut decision to fall to 0-2 and White made it clear that would be the end of Punk in the UFC.

CM Punk updates on status with the UFC
Tom Taylor - November 22, 2018
Former pro wrestler CM Punk has now fought twice in the UFC’s Octagon, but neither fight has worked out the way he planned. More recently, however, CM Punk has suggested that he still plans to continue training in MMA at the very least. And speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show this week, he suggested that he would consider fighting outside the UFC if the UFC is no longer interested in promoting his fights.
Under the MMA Microscope | Is equality in the UFC a myth?
Drake Riggs - June 22, 2018
There are a handful of things that can be considered wrong with the UFC. Especially since the organization was purchased by WME-IMG. Something that doesn’t seem to get talked about enough is that the UFC could be casting a mythical shadow of equality over the fans and more importantly, the fighters themselves.
Sage Northcutt gives his take on CM Punk's UFC 225 fight
Tom Taylor - June 20, 2018
CM Punk’s second MMA fight, which pitted him against Mike Jackson at UFC 225, didn’t go a whole lot better than his first. Though the former pro wrestler managed to survived until the final bell, he was soundly beaten for the bout’s duration — on the feet and on the mat — erasing any lingering hope that he might have what it takes to cut it in the perilous world of cage fighting. Yet just as he did in his first fight, a first-round submission loss to Mickey Gall, Punk showed that he’s got a toaster-sized heart thumping away inside his tattoo-covered chest. Though he is clearly short on the ability required to thrive as a mixed martial artist, he is long on guts, and that fact impressed many of the UFC’s top fighters.
