Bristol Marunde In For Brunson Against Jacare On March 3

Yesterday we released a breaking story revealed by Strikeforce executive Scott Coker.
The March 3 Strikeforce event slated for Columbus, Ohio took a hit to its roster when Derek Brunson was unable to pass Ohio medical exams and was subsequently removed from his bout against Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza.
The Strikeforce match making department went straight to work and has now booked a suitable replacement in the form of SCC middleweight champion, Bristol Marunde.
The March 3rd event is set to go down from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus Ohio and with a bantamweight title fight between challenger Ronda Rousey and champion Miesha Tate in the headlining slot.
Jacare is a world renowned submission grappler who at one point held the Strikeforce middleweight title. He last saw action losing his strap to new champ, Luke Rockhold this past September.
Marunde earns his spot on the Strikeforce roster after a lengthy career that includes bouts under the IFL and M-1global banners. He last saw action in a decision win over UFC veteran Jay Silva.
The latest “Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey” is as follows:
