Brian Stann vs. Wanderlei Silva Slated for UFC on FUEL TV 8 | UFC news

It appears that Brian Stann’s next opponent will be Wanderlei Silva. As confirmed by Diego Sanchez when I asked who Stann’s next opponent would be and also from a tweet sent out by Strikeforce fighter Isaac Valliue-Flagg. No word on whether the fight will take place at middleweight or light-heavyweight. The fight will apparently take place in Japan on the UFC’s March 3rd card as well.

Here is the tweet sent to me from Sanchez when asked who Stann’s next opponent would be. (My Twitter handle is @theMMAaddict)

In either case, this fight is sure to be an absolute barn-burner with the chances of it going to decision at slim to none.

The Main card features 3 other fantastic UFC fights:

Mark Hunt vs. Stefan Struve

Dong Hyun Kim vs. Siyar Bahadurzada

Diego Sanchez vs. Takanori Gomi

  1. Jjdg says:

I got stann taking this, love wandy and in his prime would walk through stann, but not anymore. Stann by decision

  2. Radge says:

Great matchup for Stann, terrible matchup for Wandy it’s like the Leben fight all over again. Still hope Wandy can get the win but it seems unlikely.

  3. Stonerman says:

This is an easy fight to call, Stann via KO. If wanderlei cant handle lebens Power. What chance has he got.
