Brendan Schaub Books Lavar Johnson For UFC on FOX 5 | UFC NEWS

A heavyweight bout between Brendan Schaub and Lavar Johnson has been booked for the UFC’s return trip to FOX TV this December.

UFC officials announced the matchup via twitter yesterday evening.

UFC on FOX 5 is set to take place on December 8 from Seattle’s KeyArena. In the main event Benson Henderson will attempt to defend his lightweight title for the second consecutive time against Nate Diaz. BJ Penn vs. Rory MacDonald are also booked for main card action.

Schaub started off his UFC career with a pretty decent stint. The heavyweight was able to put on a four-fight win streak before losing his last two straight bouts to Ben Rothwell and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

Strikeforce import, Lavar Johnson, looked like a man possessed in his first two UFC bouts. After destroying the likes of Joey Beltran and Pat Barry he went on to get submitted in his most recent contest against Stefan Struve.
