VIDEO | Floyd Mayweather back in training?

By Russell Ess - October 19, 2017

Ever since the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor fight was announced back in June, we only saw Mayweather post one video to his Instagram account of him doing any boxing training. Interestingly, Mayweather just recently posted two videos of him putting in some work hitting the heavy bag. Mayweather made both videos posts a bit cryptic, not putting any caption or stating anything in the video. “Money” even disabled the commenting feature on the Instagram posts, which isn’t anything new for the 50-0 boxing legend.

Mayweather stated that he promised his family that the bout against Conor McGregor would be the last fight of his career. However, when there is a nine-figure payday potentially knocking at your door, there are surely some exceptions to be made in life, right? Or, perhaps, Mayweather was simply showing that even being retired and coming off another multi-million dollar payday that he still has the passion and drive to get in the gym and put in more hard work and dedication without any intention of ever fighting competitively again.

Mayweather’s last opponent, Conor McGregor surely would not turn down another opportunity to cash in on another Mayweather boxing match. Floyd had stated they could also fight in the Octagon under mixed martial arts rules during the lead up to their big fight but it’s hard to imagine anyone including Mayweather took that to heart.

What are your thoughts on Floyd Mayweather’s recent training videos? Let’s discuss this in the comment section.
