Bonnar Speaks: Says Silva’s Knee Temporary Paralyzed Him | UFC NEWS
“Thanks to everyone for the support, I’m so sorry I lost. I feel so bad for letting my fans down, but I promise to make it up to you. … Not injured, just caught with a perfect knee to the solar plexus and it paralyzed me, was just getting movement back when fight was stopped.”
Taking to his personal Twitter account, last weekend’s UFC main event loser, Stephan Bonnar broke his silence for the first time since tasting defeat at the hands of Anderson Silva to address his fans and let everyone know he is O.K.
While he put on an entertaining performance, Stephan Bonnar, was taken out in the very first round of action last Saturday night with a brutal knee to the body that sent him crashing to the mat in fetal position.

He actually did better than most of Silva’s opponents in the UFC. He put the pressure on, caught him with punches, and made it a fight. His opponent is just so good that it wasn’t enough. No shame there..He did his thing.

This fight reminded me of what it was like to spar with sensei. I would be very aggressive since I was younger and bigger, but he would just toy with me until he got bored and BAM! knee to the solar plexus. Recovering from one of those takes a minute or 2.
