Bisping says he would've stopped Sonnen had their fight been five rounds

By Evan Stoumbelis:
Middleweight Michael ‘the count’ Bisping said the following in a recent interview:
“I think Chael will out-wrestle Anderson and beat him this time, and then I’ll get the rematch with Chael considering how close our fight was. If I had Chael over five rounds, I’d definitely beat him. In that last fight, I’d have stopped him in the fourth for sure. He was spent after trying to submit me in that third round. Towards the end of that round I was raining down shots on him.”
Given how neither fighter really dominated the fight, which was why it was so close, I don’t know if Bisping would’ve necessarily knocked Chael out in the fourth, Chael was in fact slowing down, but Bisping wasn’t exactly radiating energy. If Chael beats Anderson in June, then Bisping might just get his wish.
Before his fight with Sonnen, Bisping scored a TKO victory over opposing TUF coach Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller in the third round. He then was expected to face Demian Maia at UFC on Fox 2 in Chicago, but when Mark Muñoz became injured and withdrew from his fight with Chael Sonnen, Bisping stepped in to face Sonnen for the Middleweight #1 contender spot. Bisping lost the fight via unanimous decision in what some considered, a fairly uneventful fight, giving Sonnen the opportunity to fight longtime rival Anderson Silva this June.
Bisping is scheduled to fight Tim Boetsch at UFC 148 this summer on July 7th.

**** him up bisping!!!!
Long time rival ??? B**** please
I **** with Bis. That Brit comes to fight. He got ripped off by the paid off judges.
Bulls#%t bisping spent 430 on his back in the third! Got whooped! Bisping ain’t finishing sonnen! Never!!
no.
Mr pillow hands
Wow you are an idiot.
Chael outstruck and took lisping down more.. idk I love both these fighters but I think Chael would take the rematch.
Bitchbing and snail will both get stomped by the spider
hahahahaha get real bisping.
bisping couldn’t beat wanderlie what chance does he have with the better strikers in the division like anderson, vitor and franklin. lets face it here UFC is padding your record and giving you easy fights because your the UK poster boy. not in a million years would you see bisping fed to Vitor
I’m a huge Wanderlei fan, but I actually thought that was a bad decision.
The Bisping vs Sonnen fight was another example at how the judges can **** everything up. Never leave it in the hands of the judges.
You were both sucking air like you wished it was dick.
I don’t know if anyone else here watched the Anderson Silva documentary (filmed before the Chael fight) where he said he didn’t want to knock out Sonnen, but he wanted to tap him. Well, he came, he saw, and he did just that. This fight is different, Anderson won’t be coming to submit, he’s going to be coming to take Sonnens head off. Which, once again, I think he’ll do. Now with this whole Bisping thing, I do think he won that fight, who would take the rematch, I don’t know. If it’s 5 rounds though I’m definitely not watching it, 3 rounds was enough to put me to sleep. Bisping is how you say…. mediocre-ly well rounded. As in, his wrestling and striking are at about the same level, that level is just not very high. And Chael…well, he’s just a bitch.
I’m torn! I can’t stand Sonnen or Bisping! They can fight but they are both assholes!
I don’t like Chael and don’t mind Bisping, but Chael clearly won 2 to 1, the only reason people think Bisping won is because almost everyone counted him out before the fight started, so when he actually held his own and wasn’t really dominated till the third people were lulled into a false sense of how the fight went.
I know this to be true because I actually bet on Bisping (at those odds, knowing he had a chance I couldn’t resist) and I didn’t feel the least bit screwed by the decision.
yea i could do alotta things if there was 25 hours in a day but ya kno what theres not so shit happens.if u lose… you lost
lol So funny that he thinks Sonnen will beat Silva.
What’s funny is that he thinks that if Anderson can’t beat Chael he can. Now that’s some fudged up MMA math!
no way!!! if it went to later rounds sonnen would win, because in the first 2 rounds he had trouble taking him down, and keeping him down, but in the 3rd round when bisping got a little bit tired sonnen took him down and held him down with ease. he would have done that for the remaining 2 rounds and he would have possibly finished and some point
Cause that’s the fight we all want to see. So basically what I’m reading is if Phael can’t hold you down, he’s not winning. I just want both these pricks to fight Silva so he can knock em’ both out and be done with it already. (If Chael loses this one, I do think he actually might shut up, probably just wishful thinking but how many title shots can you talk yourself into?)
If chael beats silva there will be an automatic rematch, make no mistake about it!!
Hu
Team Sonnen! He’s undefeated and undisputed!
