Betting Odds: Luke Rockhold slight favorite over Vitor Belfort at UFC on FX 8 | UFC NEWS
According to most sports betting websites it looks like Belfort and Rockhold are almost dead even as far as betting goes. 5Dimes has the fight favored for Rockhold
-120 to -110 Belfort. SportBet has the fight -116 to -106 for Rockhold. These are very close odds in the world of fight betting.
To break it down a bit it means to make $100 on either fighter you would have to bet $120 on Rockhold or $110 on Vitor. In most fight betting odds you have to pay more to make more, and if you bet on the underdog you would make double or triple the amount you would make betting on the favorite. In this fight you will make almost the same amount on either fighter no matter how much you bet.
The odds are basically as close as you can get without being even, something Belfort can’t be too happy with. Vitor holds the edge in experience and is coming off a huge TKO victory over Michael Bisping at UFC on FX. Vitor also was very close to submitting the UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones with an armbar at UFC 152.
Former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold is on a 9-fight win streak and defeated a very tough Tim Kennedy back on July 14, 2012. Rockhold was tearing through his division in Strikeforce and a fighter many MMA fans wanted to see in the UFC. Vitor is a very tough opponent and will gladly welcome Rockhold into the UFC.

are you kidding me? how is rockhold a favorite over vitor? who has he beaten besides jacare? not to mention he hasnt fought in almost a year…meanwhile vitors been fighting tough competition and almost took out the champ in a weight class above him…wtf?
Rockhold isn’t very good… I mean, he’s good, but this is the guy that got tossed around by Bisping, who Vitor just knocked out. Vitor is still at the top, or damn near close to it. He came the closest to defeating the LHW champion for crying out loud. The people Rockhold fought in Strikeforce were not very good either. I wouldn’t pay mind to the betting odds. It’s definitely favorable to Vitor.

Now that everybody knows what everybody has always known for years about Belfort being a juicer, Rock should send him into retirement. The gigs up for Vitor to be juicing his brains out and then tapering off prior to the fight, like he’s done for a decade. He’s done. He will tire out by the 2nd and be KO/TKO’d by the 3rd. Dana and the UFC now know Vitor’s juicing routine and will test the shit outta him ALL during camp.
