Betting Odds: Johny Hendricks slight favorite over Carlos Condit | UFC NEWS

According to BestFightOdds.com the upcoming fight between Hendricks-Condit is going to be close, but they give a slight advantage to Hendricks.

Depending on which betting site you choose to “play” on the odds vary, but not by much. Hendricks (14-1), who was slated to fight Jake Ellenberger, has opened up as -130 favorite, while Condit comes in at + 118. After winning his last five fights it was assumed Hendricks would get the next shot at GSP, but that instead went to Nick Diaz.

Condit (28-6), who was originally scheduled to fight Rory MacDonald before he had to withdraw due to injury, has to be happy that the UFC’s #1 Welterweight contender decided to step up and fight him.

UFC 158 is scheduled for March 16th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

middleweight?! They are both welterweights not middleweights!! Get your info right! For pete’s sake how could you get the division wrong?!

  2. magoo says:

Condit the underdog sounds like easy money! Hendricks ain’t gonna KO Carlos and he sure in fukc ain’t gonna out grapple him. After GSP wrecks Diaz, and Condit beats Hendricks I’m hoping Georges calls out Hendricks… Being Georges is scared and all!!! Smh

  3. real homies says:

How in the world is Hendricks the favorite in this fight?! Condit has more tools than Hendricks, All Hendricks has is that left hand, COndit has excellent ground and striking skills. Condit by unanimous decision

  4. BringFitchBack says:

I think this is about right. Hendricks is the young left-hand Hendo. But he has one thing that is far superior to Condit or really anybody at 70 and that is second to none wrestling. I don’t see Condit being able to get away from the pressure and when he does move he will make a mistake and Hendricks will KO him. I see it happening in the 2nd. Condit will run like he did with Diaz and GSP. But neither of those two guys compare to the pressure Hendricks will bring. Condit is tough and scrappy, but Hendricks is just heads and shoulders better than anybody at 70 right now. He may even be better than GSP. It’s hard to know the pressure this guy brings unless you’ve experienced it. I’ll guarantee Condit has no idea.
