Newly crowned UFC lightweight champion, Benson Henderson, talks to the guys over at Inside MMA on HDNet last night about what’s next for him.

sure clay guida layed on top of him in there fight for the win. but he beat henderson that doesn’t warrant a rematch?
The fight was back in WEC, yes pettis won, but he barely beat stephens, lost to guida and knockout of lauzon. Maybe a rematch with guida will shoot him up there again.
You can say clay laid on top of him, though i hate that style, pettis had no answer for it. and its opponent henderson beat that pettis couldnt.. what does that say about pettis?

Man… A lot of you guys have your panties up in a bunch. I don’t think he’s being cocky. I think he was trying to say that he wants to prove he’s the best in the world by fighting everyone in the roster. I see it as him being ready to face anyone. Not like say, Condit, who is gonna wait till who knows when because he wants to fight GSP.

Ben is just saying that cause he feels he doesn’t get the credit he deserves. Wouldn’t you guys feel the same way if you were him? I mean he did what no one else in the division has done, he took out frankie. To make it worse, frankie is crying for a rematch when it obvious he doesn’t deserve it. that fight was not even close. frankie go his ass handed to him. end of story. go back in line and let someone else get a shot.
Unfortunately he is getting his rematch. Dana White and Edgar confirmed it. I feel bad for the lw division. Lots of hard working fighters who keep getting put on the back burner.

Based on Henderson’s Comment, I think Henderson is just excited in this new chapter of his which is being LW Champion.
Henderson is a humble as they come, he just wants to prove that he can beat anyone and everyone in his division. You gotta have that mindset otherwise u’d get nowhere.
Henderson is welcoming any challenge that comes to him. He wants to beat Silva’s record and is very determined since joining the UFC, his comment on Pettis is on the money. I feel Pettis needs 1 more win against a ranked opponent in order for another title shot, maybe winner of diaz and miller. I reckon Edgar and Pettis to fight for #1 contender wouldve been better
