Bellator’s Fight Master Series Gets New Time Slot Following Ratings Slide

Bellator’s reality TV series, Fight Master, has failed to live up to the hype.

Unlike the UFC’s ‘Ultimate Fighter’ Bellator’s version of MMA reality on SPIKE TV is not garnering any interest from viewers at home and as a result is getting backed down on their Thursday night lineup.

SPIKE TV broke the news:

Do you guys watch this show?

That’s such a bummer. I really prefer this show to Ultimate Fighter. Fightmaster focuses on the compelling aspects of MMA. They talk coaching strategy, stylistic approaches, stamina, technique, mental toughness…etc. NOT juvenile TUF where they focus on who wanted to prank someone at 3:00am and then get into a screaming match in the kitchen while chugging vodka. What are the differences in Ken Shamrock’s coaching versus Greg Jackson? Damn that’s interesting! And I think the fights have been really entertaining. I hope they do well enough to renew next season. if you haven’t watched it, check it out.

When I first started watching it all I did was compare it to TUF. I had to stop and watch it for the sport, not because I was used to TUF and it ( Fight Master) was different. I like the show and hope it stays on as well. When TUF is not on now I still have something to watch. It shows you that people just care about the drama and not the sport itself. Thats our world we live in unfortunately..

I think you mean Frank Shamrock not Ken.

  2. Where's my TRT? says:

I have seen most of the episodes so far but not really impressed by it especially with the “no elbows” rule. But its cool that have 3 big names in mma doing the show but Warren just looks like a joke there. Also theres not fighter build up like in TUF.
