One of the highest profile fighters on the Bellator roster Paul Daley has been charged with assault in Britain and removed from the upcoming Season Bellator 8 tournament. According to ESPN 29 year old Paul Daley has been charged with assault following an altercation in a bar, banned from entering the United States and is looking at up to two years in prison. Daley stated on his facebook:
His facebook statement denies being involved in a bar brawl, confirms that he is out of Season 8 Bellator tournament but does not deny there are assault charges that could lead to the delay in visa decision.
Daley signed with Bellator earlier this year and is 1-0 with the promotion. Prior to that Daley was ousted from the UFC for throwing a punch at Josh Koscheck after the end of their UFC 113 bout in 2010.
