Barboza States He Helped Edgar Prepare For Henderson Bout And Thinks The Judges Got It Wrong | UFC News

Edson Barboza comments in an interview with TATAME.
This past weekend at UFC 150 Lightweight Champion Ben Henderson successfully defended his UFC Lightweight Title for the first time defeating Frankie Edgar via split-decision.
One man who did not agree with the decision was UFC Lightweight Edson Barboza.
“I didn’t agree with its outcome. I guess Edgar won.”
“I’ve been training with Frankie for a few weeks in New Jersey for this fight. I could tell how much he trained, how prepared he was. And from where I’m standing, he won.”
It was also confirmed that Nate Diaz will be the next to challenge Henderson for his title in the UFC on FOX 5 main event. Barboza comments on the bout and thinks it’s too close to call.
“I guess it’s going to be a great fight. A good title fight. It’s a very close division and it’s hard to point out a favorite. Both guys have chances to win”

Yeah no. Diaz has awesome jiu jitsu but I don’t really see anyone submitting Bendo. That being said (see what I did there?) it’s gonna be a good fight but Bendo by decision.

Edgar won that fight 8 rounds to 7 by the judges’ scorecards. haha. But seriously, is there anyone out here who can tell me the last time a fighter lost a judges’ decision, but had the greater, total number of individual rounds scored in his favour?

Even Henderson knows he lost. You could tell by his post – fight press conference comments. Edgar even shoved and tripped him to the ground easily in the 5th round. By the time the 5th came round, Edgar was landing several hard leg strike combinations, as well as landing punching combinations to his face. It was a pretty dominant round. The look in Henderson’s eyes coming out for the 5th and during the round said it all. He was shitting himself, but he got a break this time. He won’t be champ for long. He will lose after he beats Diaz.
Way too biased to even have an opinion (Barboza) he just got k.o.ed by Jamie Varner who trains with Bendo and he trained with Frankie personally I thought Frankie won the first fight and Bendo won the second not that my opinion matters but if you’re reading one assholes comments another won’t hurt

I think frankie did more in the 1st fight, meaning theres no way he won the 2nd fight!!
