Anderson Silva Issues Statement On Missed Media Day In L.A.

UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva, was fined on Monday by the UFC for missing a day of media obligations in Los Angeles that included T.V., Radio and a media luncheon with some of the biggest media reps in the region.

In an unprecedented move UFC officials fined their P4P king $50,000.00 for failure to appear.

Now Anderson has come out to basically say he was unaware of the day with the press and by the time he found out it was too late and he was on his way to Brazil.

Here it is via
“I’ve never missed any commitment to the UFC. I would never have made the trip to Brazil if I knew I had to be in Los Angeles. Everyone knows that I always block my media schedule to devote myself to training, since that’s my main priority. I’m an athlete, and my focus will always be to train and be prepared for the challenges.”

Translation: “Fukc You, I’m fukcin worried out of my mind that this guy Weidman is going to beat the crap outta me and I better be prepared or I will lose badly, so Fukc You UFC, Fukc You Fans, I’m staying in Brazil to train”, A. Silva.

hey retard, wrasslin’s so boring they took it out of the Olympics. Stick with your WWE and leave the real fighters alone.

      hahaha what a joke….

You are buying into the hype train. Weidman is going to get smashed by Silva. I mean shit just a few months ago they were trying to get anyone else to fight Anderson; Rashad, Bisping, Boetsch, Belcher, all because they thought that weidman wasn’t ready yet. Now all of a sudden when everything falls apart they are going to try and change their mind and sell me on the idea that Weidman is actually the number one contender and is a legitimate threat to Anderson’s winning streak. Give me a break this guy is not even in Silva’s league. He is going to be clowned by Silva and KO’d in round two.

I know right, he beat 8 nobodies and his 9th fight was against a decent fighter, not an amazing one just a decent, a bit over average fighter and suddenly every one thinks he can beat the best fighter on the planet. wtf?

LOL… no doubt! Fools don’t know sh!t about MMA or Weidman’s credentials.

        • some guy says:

a good wrestler with ground n pound….. oh and a win over an out of shape mark munoz yeah i would say that makes a shit ton of credentials! he is gonna lose just like everyone else. only reason they gave weidman the fight is because he cried around like a lil bitch about it. just like chael except for the face that weidman cant sell the fight like chael did. Anderson wins 3rd round tko/ko/submission

        • Sasquatch says:

@ some guy.. there’s a lot more to credentials then just an MMA record.. thanks for proving my point!!

First off, where the hell is the hype train for Weidman at?
I can only find a couple people that aren’t star struck by Sylva. I wonder who all the groupies want to see Sylva fight?
Who is deserving enough for him? People act like their handing out their little sisters virginity by giving in to the idea there’s some one who might have earned the opertunitie to fight Anderson. I would probably hope for Anderson to do better if I didn’t want to see so many delusional fans wake up.
If Weidman does lose,at least I’m not gonna fall apart.

  3. Dan Jenkins says:

There’s no point in arguing whether Weidman deserves his shot at Silva it’s a moot point, he’s got his opportunity to fight for and a slight chance of winning the belt. The fact that Weidman has only beaten one top 5 mw in the last year or so doesn’t matter the fact he hasn’t fought in the last year doesn’t count. The fact he was scheduled to fight Boesch and all of a sudden copped an injury then when Boesch, Belfort, Bisping, Okami, Belcher are all booked hes magically right for Anderson that doesn’t matter. I just don’t see where he’s that much better than Anderson is his wrestling better than Dan Henderson is his striking better than Belfort is his bjj better than travis lutter, Maia or Leites where is he better?? If I was a betting man which I am my money’s on silva so who wants to put some down and give me better odds than the TAB

  4. krafty11 says:

Weidman’s only chance is to hope to land a takedown, and then hopefully be able to hold Silva down for 25 mins.. thats a lotta hope.. Silva by TKO round 2..

  5. MFJ says:

Whenever someone says the champ is dominant, we always see these “MMA diehards” come out and call that person a fanboy, bandwagoner, or talk about that person only watches main card fights.

It’s so arrogant. Every GSP, Jones, Silva fight I see the same shit, people belittling others just because of the opinion that the champ is gonna ruin the challenger.

By the way Anderson/GSP/Jones will probably lose to an inferior fighter in the near future, even the Miami Heat lose basketball games… I doubt wideman beats anderson though, he has almost no chance.
