Anderson Silva Enlists Grappling Expert Galvao In Prep For Weidman

“I came to help Anderson for his fight against Chris Weidman,” said Galvao. “He asked me to help him in his ground game, and he always helped me. I’m helping him and everything is going well… Since Ramon brought me in, I saw an improvement in Anderson’s ground game. He is a black belt, and just need a little polishing. He is a very talented guy who learns fast. In this aspect he is fine, and will be ready to fight Chris Weidman. We respect (Weidman) and will be ready for his weapons.”

Multiple time Mundial and ADCC Champion, Andre Galvao leaked to Brazilian Outlet, Portal do Vale Tudo, that he was brought in to help Anderson Silva train for Renzo Gracie blackbelt, Chris Weidman.

Silva and Weidman face off in the UFC 162 main event next weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Looks like Anderson’s taking this fight seriously.. funny his groupie’s aren’t.

    • Alex says:

What do you want him to say? “Oh yes, I’ve been preparing for this fight by eating cheeseburgers, we’ve literally watched zero tape on this guy, and we’re just gonna walk through him.” Two things, Anderson is very humble, and Anderson always trains hard.

      • Sasquatch says:

I want him to say “Alex I only pretend to be humble but I think I’m the best!, and I only train hard when I’m in fight camp that’s why I balloon up to 230 when I’m between fights”… BTW Anderson didn’t say anything.. it was Andre Galvao’s quote. Maybe you should read the article before commenting. smh

        • GRT 3000 says:

Don’t bother with this tool-bag Alex – he’s a KKK hype zombie type, that wallows in hate-envy for the GOAT. Don’t worry though, his pointy hat party will end on the 6th. hahaha
