Alistair Overeem To Stand Trial In Assault Case March 27 In Vegas
We reported last January that Alistair Overeem had been charged with misdemeanor battery stemming for a New Year’s Eve Party In Las Vegas.
The time has come for Overeem to face those charges in a no-jury trial on March 27 in Las Vegas courts.
Overeem was never arrested or detained for the charges pending against him and it is believed that the female victim in merely an opportunist who saw her opportunity at a possible easy payday.
If convicted of the charges, which is highly unlikely, Overeem could face up to six-months in prison and a $1000.00 fine.

Alistair Overeem is scheduled to face Junior Dos Santos for the UFC heavyweight title on May 26 in the UFC 146 main event.
