In my opinion this is the man who will beat Jon Jones. I don’t feel that way cause I think he’s the most amazing fighter I’ve seen. I feel that way because of his size and reach. Call me a hater but Jon Jones really isn’t all that it’s just that his legs allow him to be in a division he doesn’t belong in. His reach is his best and only weapon. Gustafsson equalizes that reach and I believe packs more power in his shots.

    • Robby says:

I’m not a Jon Jones fan either but what division does he belong in? If you make weight for the fight then you can fight in that weight class. 200lb guys fight at 170lb and so on. Silva is a big middleweight so I guess he should just move up to light heavyweight huh?

    • Foggy says:

Hit the nail on the head right there. Gus’s movement and striking were much better than jon jones so far. If he performs like he did last night, He would win a striking match no doubt. I dont know how good his wrestling and ju is in comparison? Rogan you probably got some info on dat? Machida got very close to opening jones up, but like you said, Jones is too tall for his opponents. He’s a heavyweight who’s young and athletic enough to keep the weight off. Suspect he doesnt do weights at all. Machida needed just a few inches more reach and the fight would of been completely different in my lame opinon. Think machida technically superior but got hit with several heavyweight shots everytime he couldnt quite close the distance. When machida did, Jones looked in trouble and one time even hurt.

    • Edgar says:

I don’t really follow Jones but to say that all he has is reach as the only weapon is just lame. Jones has plenty of skill and even tho I want Rashad to win, I don’t know if it will happen..

    • GET RID OF FITCH (forever) says:

Actually gustafussan reach is only 76.5 and Jones has 84.5 as far as arm reach. yes legs are about the same. I doubt gustaffsen would last 3 rounds with jones. However i’m rooting for Rashad for first time ever. Jones needs someone to beat the arragant cockyness out of him. I can’t wait until Jones moves up to HW and feels their power.

      • Xaninho says:

Jones’ reach is longer than the reach of the 6’11” giant and biggest UFC fighter Stefan Struve.

Jon Jones is a freak of nature who uses his crazy reach advantage well, but technically he isn’t the best fighter.

  3. Derek Spence says:

    Jones will kicked his butt!

  4. Joe "High Kick" Rogan says:

Jones doesn’t even have any fucking power in his strikes. He relies solely on his freakish reach. Gustafsson has the reach to be able to close he has the agility and he hits harder…..mark my words if given or gained the opportunity to fight Jones he will win. I’m not saying the guy will go on to be a long term belt defender or the best champ ever I just think he’s built to beat Jones.

  5. thegoodstuff says:

Hate to burst your bubble, guys, but Gustafsson only has like 76 inch reach. He’s tall but his arms are way shorter than Jones’.

  6. Snuskig Alban says:

    Gustafsson is hot

  7. David "The Game" Pratt says:

Jones would make gustaffson look silly. Your talking about a guy that knocked out shogun, first person to ever stop rampage and put machida to sleep. rashad and gustaffson are just two more stepping stones for jones. jones addapts and destroys opponents in quick fashion.
