Alessio Sakara has a new opponent for UFC Fight Night 30 later this month… again.
UFC newcomer Nicholas Musoke is replacing an injured Magnus Cedenblad. Cedenblad, of course, had replaced Sakara’s original opponent, Tom Watson.
Despite the number of dropped opponents, the UFC was determined that Sakara should fight. He will now take on Musoke as part of the event’s main card, which takes place October 26 at Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, England.
Musoke (10-2-1), a middleweight from Sweden, trains at the Allstars Training Center in Stockholm. He is coming into this fight with a five-fight winning streak with eight of his 10 wins being stoppages.
Sakara (15-10) will be looking to snap a 3-fight losing streak. He is coming off losses to Chris Weidman, Brian Stann and Patrick Cote; though the loss to Cote was ruled a disqualification when referee Dan Miragliotta ruled that Sakara had landed illegal elbows to the back of Cote’s head which ended the fight. After almost a year out of the Octagon due to some kidney issues, Sakara will be looking to return to action with an impressive win.
UFC Fight Night 30 will air live on FOX Sports 2 at 3pm/12pm ETPT with preliminary fights broadcasting live on Facebook beginning at 12pm/9am ETPT. The card will be headlined by a middleweight match-up between Lyoto Machida and Mark Munoz in a middleweight bout.
