Aldo vs. Koch Booked For UFC 153 Headliner | UFC NEWS

The featherweight champion, Jose Aldo, will return to action in front of his fellow Brazilians in October when he faces off with top contender Erik Koch at UFC 153.
The bout was originally slated for UFC 149, however Aldo was forced out with an injury and the UFC has no rebooked the title match.
UFC 153 is expected to go down in Rio at the HSBC Arena; however UFC officials have yet to announce the card as official or give an exact date.
Aldo hasn’t seen action since defending his title successfully against Chad Mendes at UFC 142. The Mendes win marked his eleventh straight since being employed by ZUFFA.
Koch has quickly become one of the most talked about featherweight fighters currently residing on the UFC roster. He is riding a four-fight win streak including his most recent win over TUF 12 winner Jonathan Brookins at UFC Fight Night 25.

i see this a quick Ko/Tko by aldo,. then run again to the stands to celebrate with the Brazilians Fans..
I agree a fight with Chad Mendes or the Korean Zombie would be a much tougher test for Aldo.
He already had a fight with Mendes. It didn’t last long.
Koch is going to need to take some time off after this one to get his face repaired. Like the man above me said, Aldo by KO/TKO.
3rd best P4P fighter on the planet in my opinion.
Agree.but at the same time anything can happen in this sport and u can’t count anybody out nowadays.
I remember seeing this headline not long back but replace the 153 with 149… Hopefully none of them will get injured along the way from now on in.
I don’t know why mark homonick hasn’t got a rematch yet? He did 10 times better than anyone else
I’m sure he would have if he didn’t get KO’d by Jung. And a following second loss, didn’t help matters any. I’m sure he’ll be back though.
With Hioki turning down a title fight against Aldo, and losing to Lamas, there’s only one guy left to fill in the number one contender spot. The Korean Zombie. I think Jung vs Aldo would have been a better fight. Although Aldo would make fairly short work of Koch, Koch is a gamer and will put on a show. Even if it is just to appease a mob looking for a beat down on someone.
Is anyone even giving Kock a punchers chance? I mean really?
Wow, I can’t believe so many out there are not giving Koch proper respect. He’s a strong striker and has a very underrated ground game. I hope that folks keep an open mind with this one, it is sure to be an amazing fight!
Koch is a tough fighter, but i dont think he will have much for Aldo.. Give Zombie the fight, he will probly lose too but at least it would be a barn burner
