Alan Belcher Calls Out 'Professional Point Fighter' Bisping

Alan Belcher calls out Michael Bisping. Comments via Bloody Elbow.
“Bisping, of course, is getting to be a professional point fighter, and he’s kind of hard to beat like that. That fight would be a nice payday, and a big fight for the media, so I’m kind of leaning towards that one. It would make sense, and the fans would love it. I can almost feel the energy I would get from the fans if I put him to sleep. I can already kind of feel the kind of smack talking that he would be doing, and I think that he just honestly believes that he’s better than he is. I don’t think he respects me or considers me to be one of the top guys. It would feel good to beat him, but I don’t want to let those type of personal emotions get in the way of what’s really important, and that’s competing for the world championship and winning.”
Bisping is set to face Tim Boetsch at UFC 149 on July 21st. If he gets the win over Boetsch he will be back in the mix for a Middleweight Title shot.
Do you like the thought of Belcher vs. Bisping ? Or do you feel other match ups in the Middleweight division would make more sense for both fighters ?

Belcher could not be more correct. bisping runs around with pitter patter stealing decisions that seem to be pre-arranged (bisping vs Hamill) afight that wasn’t even close where hamill beat the hell out of Bisping.
I think I’m one of the few that actually likes Bisping and thinks he’s a great fighter, but I gotta agree with you that Hamill won that fight.
I’m a big Bisping fan and would love to see this fight happen. I don’t like Belcher but I rate him especially after what I saw against Palhares. I think Bisping wins this with superior techincal striking, better footwork and cardio.

No way the UFC would chance puting their brit poster boy who is overrated and NEVER beaten a top 10 fighter in with Belcher. Bisping will continue to be fed non-strikers that Bisping can pitter patter -point fight. How is it a fighter like Bisping is supposly ranked #4 but never beaten anyone even close to being top 10. Until Biping has fought the Belchers, Vitors, Munoz, Stann, Franklin, even Okami. how is it(unless scripted by UFC) Bisping has avoided fighting all these top guys. Why is it in other weight classes when you lose (like maynard) you get sent to back line but bisping gets beat and its like it never happened.
Not that I am a fan of Bisping at all but he did just fight Sonnen. That being said he is pretty overrated IMO.

That would be a great fight. Let’s get this Munoz fighting more. He is supposed to be a top guy. I want to see what he’s got against top 5 MW’s. There has been no talk about him since his cancelled fight with Sonnen.

Hahahahahahaha! You just made my day. Not only would Bisping beat Belcher, he would pound the hell out of him. Bisping would completely dismantle him. he’s quick with good movement and crisp and technically solid hands. Belcher would be bloody and battered even if he managed to go the distance

Belcher would own Bisping. Bisping didn’t arguably beat Sonnen. He point sparred like a *****. His whole career has been padded and he’s never beaten a top 10 guy. I would like to see him thrown in with the wolves from now on. Put him against the best. Hand him to Belcher and watch him get man handled. Americans just dont seem like Bisping regardless of what he does, simple as that. I would go out on a limb and say he will never get any respect no matter of who he beats (such as Sonnen who he clearly beat). Its a shame because he has beaten top level guys and I hope once he deals with Boetsch he will finally get his shot at Silva. If he wasnt a top level fighter why does he keep getting called out? Even Rich Franklin wants to fight him. God bless you Bisping, your a legend. I hope you beat Silva and bring that belt back to sunny old England.
His wins are against schafer, sinosic, hamill, McCarthy, day, leben, kang, Dan miller, akiyama, Rivera (whom he spit at), an Jason miller. Mostly all decisions! Get the **** outta here

All this Bisping hasn’t fought anyone talk is hilarious. If you aren’t just an anti- Bisping fanboy an judge fights dispassionately then you should know he definitely underrated and a top 5 middleweight. In case you missed his last fight or were too jacked up on your anti-Bisping cocktail he should be fighting Anderson Silva for the title not Chael Sonnen. I am a Belcher fan as well and I think that would be a good fight but Belcher needs another fight first because I don’t think he is in the “one fight from a title shot” category yet. Yes he defeated a prolific submission artist largely at his own game, I say largely not entirely because he did not finish by submission, but he needs to fight a top 5 fighter next definately. Though not Bisping because I believe should he win his next fight against The Barbarian then he should receive the title shot I believe he has earned. Munos would be a good opponed for belcher next in my opinion. I am an American who can judge a fighter based on the fighters accomplishments not just on anti-national sentiments or perception of a fighters personality. Those who cant please keep on giving Americans a great image and go back to chugging another beer while cheering for some good ole’ boy to “punch him in the face!”
