Hector Lombard Coming To The UFC ?

By Jamie McAllister:
“We’ve received the final proposed UFC agreement from Hector’s attorney, and right now we are in the process of reviewing it to determine whether we’re going to match the agreement,”

“Obviously, we have a huge event coming up Friday. As soon as that is over, we will sit down with our partners and go through the UFC contract line-for-line and make a strategic decision whether we’re going to match it or pass. [If we pass, we will] wish him the best and let him go knock out everybody in the UFC.”

Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney comments on the UFC attempting to sign Hector Lombard during an interview with Sherdog.

Lombard is currently on a twenty fight winning streak & (8-0) in Bellator. He has 17 wins by KO or TKO and seven by way of submission. Another interesting fact about Lombard is that he has never been knocked out or submitted.

If you have never had the chance to see Lombard in action check out the link bellow.

Many UFC fans have long awaited the arrival of Lombard myself included. How do think he would do in the current Middleweight division ?

I just can’t believe Lombard would sign acontract thta says if Bellator matches the UFC’s offer then he has to stay and fight for Bellator. This totally sucks because i’m sure the UFC didn’t make that great of an offer. Most fighters know they have to go prove themselves against UFC competeition before they get the big bucks and they also get the massive exposure thru UFC marketing for their sponsers which means more sponsership money down the road. My guess is Lombard will be back in Belaltor fighting “CANS” and has beens the rest of his career “SUCKS”

  3. Lombard fan. says:

put him in there with Bisping sure we all wanna see him get KO’ed again.

    • GET RID OF FITCH (forever) says:

The UFC would NEVER put Lombard in with Bisping or any other big striker like Brian Stann. Since the Hendersen fight they learned their lesson and will continue to protect Bisping and only seek out favorable matchups. In Bispings warped mind he thinks he has only lost one fight in his career.

      • andy says:

I beg to differ. They matched him up against Sonnen which to me was only to push Sonnen towards a rematch with Silva. BUT! At this point I would agree with you and that’s only because they don’t have much of anyone else to fight Silva besides Bisping. I think they’ll try to put off Lombard for a while to make sure he won’t be able to get Silva. Almost because I feel like they’re looking for someone to be a replacement for the title.

  4. Thom says:

Lombard could do some damage or get horribly exposed.. Interesting!

  5. Derek says:

Put him in with Wanderlei let’s build this guy up !

    • KIDD433 says:

He should’ve got in the ufc a long time ago.theres plenty of good fights for him.VITOR,WANDERLEI,BRIAN STANN,win or lose thlse would be good fights for him.fuck it let him debut against LEBEN

  6. lex walker says:

he’s a beast but b4 he moves to the ufc they need to have the alexander rematch first or bring him 2

    • says:

the alexander fight was not that close…he does not deserv a rematch bud///,,i want him in the ufc he wwould get exposed so fast…u see in the alexander fight he is not that good…alexander is not even top 20 and he did poorly….lombard will get horribly exposed in thhe ufc…

  7. Not You says:

MW Mike Tyson. He look like a little Overeem too though. Let’s just hope he doesn’t turn out to be 14 men in 1 body.

    • Scotty says:

Why because he is short and stocky? The guy is only 5’9″ and has a muscular build.. He doesnt look oddly big or ever got oddly big.. So i guess everyone who is a bigger guy needs to be looked at extra careful? hahaha Come on now, I think Hector would like to be at WW but his build just wont let it happen unless he took a couple years off and did absolutely nothing..

Hope he goes into the UFC, been wanting him in there for awhile.. He had a chance once but his Visa stopped that from happening.. So hopefully UFC gives him a good offer on a contract that Bellator cant match.. Which im not sure if he would even stay at MW in Bellator cause there is no more Competition for this guy! Also MW needs some comp. as well in the UFC!

      • Not You says:

I’m not making a definite statement tht he is on anything. My biggest hope is that he isn’t and he puts a beating on the whole MW division. It’s rare to have some one come from that big of a judo background and have such vicious striking power and speed. He’s the one fighter I’ve wanted the UFC to being in for a long time.

      • Alex says:

You dont get that muscular build without juicing up. It doesnt happen, and anyone who thinks that, is very naive. He doesnt have to be juiced right now, but to build that kind og muscle there is no other way that juicing up!

  8. A.James says:

I’d like to see him pass a piss test first.

  9. Ninja Oreo Dollop says:

I say give him Munoz as a test. I really want to see him fight Rampage or Hendo at 205 also. You know Hector is cutting from 220, the guy is a massive MW.

  10. Jamie Evill says:

Hector v Vitor I would like to see!

  11. zoeldog27 says:

Ive been waiting for this guy for a while, He’s totally the future of MW Division in MMA this guys a beast I have seen him fight live a few times this guy is a killer plain & simple id love to see Silva dance around like he did with Maia against this guy Lombard is a ready made champion we all know he can fight really well its just a matter of how he matches up against classy opponents I think that Munoz would be a perfect start orif Boetsch beat Bisping maybe him,I can see in the future a possible title fight between Lombard & Weidman

  12. says:

i been waiting for this guy to come to ufc for a long time…people think he is ssoo good,,after the first round he is not so fast..i dont think he would do well in ufc peiple are going be shocked when e is exposed

  13. Jason N says:

    have him fight pallaheres

  14. Edger says:

Can’t wait to see him KO fighters in the UFC

  15. Tony Sisto says:
