Big Nog vs. Kongo Added To UFC 149 | UFC NEWS

On the same day Dana White announced that Jose Aldo would likely be coming off the UFC 149 card in Calgary another addition to the card was reported in The Calgary Sun.

The Nogueira vs Kongo bout was seemingly leaked to The Sun by anonymous sources and was further endorsed by UFC’s Canadian contingent on twitter in the form of a retweet.

Kongo (17-7-2) is coming off a loss to Mark Hunt at the recent UFC 144 event in Japan which snapped a four fight unbeaten run (3-0-1).

Nogueira (33-7-1) has been out of action since the submission loss to now number one contender Frank Mir. Nogueira has gone (4-3) during his UFC and would love to improve on that by beating Kongo.

The UFC 149 card is still in search on a main event with Jose Aldo likely being moved to UFC 147. One potential fight that could headline on July 21 in Calgary is Jon Jones vs. Dan Henderson.
