Lawler vs. Larkin Booked For Strikeforce In July

Another fight has been made official for Strikeforce’s July event. The Rose Garden in Portland will now host a 185 lb battle between Robbie Lawler and Lorenz Larkin. The bout is set to go down July 14.

“Ruthless” Robbie Lawler avenged two consecutive losses, one to Ronaldo Souza and the other to Tim Kennedy, by stopping Adlan Amagov via TKO. His first round knockout of Amagov pushed his career record to (19-8). Lawler is looking to continue his winning ways against a tough and technically undefeated Lorenz Larkin.

Larkin, the Riverside, Ca. product is coming off of a no contest decision, when King Mo Lawal failed a post fight drug test. The NSAC over turned the decision after Lawal tested positive for Drostanolone after the fight. Originally Larkin was knocked out in the fight and was stopped for the first time in the octagon. The initial loss was the first of Larkin’s career, now he is seeking to stay undefeated (technically) when he battles the Ruthless one.

Also featured on the card is a 185 lb match-up as Keith Jardine attempts to stop Roger Gracie and Strikeforce middleweight champ Luke Rockhold defends his belt against Tim Kennedy.
