The long awaited UFC debut of Ryan Jimmo is once again booked.

After being forced to withdraw from his UFC on FX 1 bout with injury, the Canadian native will not get to make his UFC debut on his native soil at UFC 149 against Anthony Perosh.

UFC 149 is set to take place on July 21 from Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome. A featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Erick Koch is expected to headline the event.

Jimmo is one of Canada’s most exciting UFC imports. The former MFC champion has amassed an impressive 16-1 professional MMA record which includes winning his past 16-fights. Out of his 16 wins he holds a 50% finishing rate including six KO’s.

Perosh brings a three-fight win streak into the fight that includes wins over Nick Penner, Cyrille Diabate and Tom Blackledge.
