Bahadurzada Was Looking To Turn Pitbull Into A Poodle, However Now He Waits For A Replacement | UFC News

Siyar Bahadurzada comments to TATAME.
Bahadurzada got the call to replace Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 149 and face Thiago Alves however now it is his turn to wait for an opponent after the Brazilian was forced out of the bout with an undisclosed injury.
He comments on the Alves fight and says it is still a fight he would like to have in the future.
“Yeah, I’m sad! I was looking forward to fight Alves. But maybe some other time,”
On if the UFC have told him who he could now be facing.
“No replacement yet. We’ll see.”
Prior to the withdrawal Bahadurzada had a message for Alves.
“Alves is an aggressive pitbull, but I hope I can take this pitbull and turn him into a cute poodle at UFC 149,” he said, a week ago. “I think he will stand with me until he tastes my power. Then he will immediately go for a take down! That’s when I know I broke his will and I will be looking for the finish.”

it’s only going to be a matter of time unitl the public start’s demanding a carding system just like pride because of the money they waste watching fighter’s try and squeak out a descion. It’s not called ultimate wrestling championship, it’s called ultimate fighting and if you can’t get to a dominant position on the ground within a minute you should be stood up and carded. Chael had some effective strikes on the ground but for the better part of 3 rounds it should have been stood up several times as chael was doing no efficient damage to silva. Pure wrestlers are *****’s who can’t fight but just go in the ufc because they now the system favours them over any other real martial arts.
