The Ultimate Fighter: Live Finale official fight match ups | UFC NEWS
As The Ultimate Fighter Live rolls on and the finale draws closer, the bouts between those who have dropped out of the competition are already in the works. According to the official UFC.com event page today the following additions have been made:
Justin Lawrence vs. John Cofer
The Team Cruz number one pick Justin Lawrence looks to redeem himself after a devastating TKO loss to semi -inal contender Mike Cheisa. While John Cofer also attempts to get back on track after an impressive back and forth battle with Vinc Pichel.
Myles Jury vs. Chris Saunders
In this bout Dominick Cruz’s team-mate and two time ultimate fighter contender Myles “The Fury” Jury takes on Saunders in a highly anticipated striker vs grappler match up. After losing to Al Iaquinta in his initial fight, Jury will look to beat the man who no one believed would make it as far, Chris Saunders. Saunders is coming off of a quarter final split decision loss to Vinc Pichel.
Daron Cruickshank vs. John Tickle
Faber’s first pick, Daron Cruickshank had a disappointing beginning to his first fight after getting into the house. After the surprisingly savy James Vick landed a clean knee strike to his head the Karate based fighter will take on the volatile yet entertaining Chris Tickle. Tickle who is coming off of a loss against Proctor via rear naked choke in the first round.
Jeremy Larsen vs. Joe Proctor
Last but not least, Joe Proctor from Team Faber takes on Cruz’s childhood friend Jeremy Larson in our final official bout. Proctor having gotten further in the competition looks to cement his place in the UFC by taking out Larsen in the finale. However Larsen may surprise as Proctor was out struck by James Vick in his last bout.
It is widely assumed that the winners of these bouts will traditionally be offered UFC contracts and that more fight announcements will be made closer to the even following the semi final fights. The final airs on June 1st and will take place at the Palms Resort Casino in Las Vegas.
