Female Fighter of the Year
Winner: Miesha Tate
i love me some miesha tate
+1
You finally switched back to liking chicks E? Lmao jk playa..
Miller’s walk-in was indeed legendary! Just a funny dude! Bonkers!
Congratulations Jon ‘Bones’ Jones, for a well deserved ‘Fighter of the year’ achievement, well done!
Bader,Rua,Jackson and now Machida all in a one year span….no one else is even a close second!
I cannot believe Silva only won one. This is ridiculous.
Yeah anderson silva deserved fighter of the year.Jon jones is too cocky
Personality has nothing to do with being fighter of the year. You sound ignorant
Jones deserved it. He is always improving. Who care if he is cocky? You ever watch Silva vs. Demian maia? Embarrassing for Silva
hows that embarressing for silva? he was smashing maia the whole ****ing fight.. i rather watch silva fight like that, then lay n prey bullshit
silva deserved fighter of the year by far!!
by far?? No way. I think it was close between those too for sure. Jones fought four times and silva fought 3 times. Jones dominated every fighter he faced while Silva dominated vitor and yushin he squeeked by against Sonnen.
so i think jones deserves it. cocky or not now he is a beast.
Anderson is GQ sportsman of the year..something Jones will never be. So..
how the **** is cormier not the breakthrough fighter of the year. cerrone is great but come on, cormiers year literally defined breakthrough
He only had one recognized fight while cerrione has been on a terror smh
its “cerrone has been on a tear” as in a “tear through the division” as in “tearing it up”
i wish you could “like” posts sometimes on here sometimes, +1 sir
I agree man, Cornier deserved it win it for sure!! wtf donald cerrone do? **** ALL! THATS WHAT
Cerrone beat a few nobodies lol…Cormier only made it to the finals of the Strikeforce tourny when he wasnt even in it.
What about best staredown?
How about we stack those ring girls up like pancakes and tear that UP!!!!
Edgar vs Maynard fight of the year? Shogun vs Hendo wasn’t even a nominee. Bull shit
The range was only from September 2010 through August 31st 2011. Hendo-Shogun will be a nominee next year.
if people saw bendo v guida that will win foty
will as in next year, gotta make sure that’s clear
WTF (excuse the language) how did Tito Ortiz miss out on come back of the year????????????? Can anyone tell me that?????/
did you see the kongo fight? thats how
Bcuz tito sucks and winning ONE fight does not warrant you for comeback of the year.
FIGHT OF THE YEAR WENT TO EDGAR MAYNARD? THAT FIGHT WASNT EVEN CLOSE TO FIGHT OF THE YEAR. BJ VS NICK OR HENDO SHOGUN. ALSO LYOTOS KICK WAS BETTER THAN ANDERSONS FOR KO OF THE YEAR. SORRY FOR CAPS
I thought Lyoto’s kick was better but he had more time to fine tune it with Steven Segaul than Anderson did :-/
lol
Ethan.. Your right on point w that! Anderson’s kick was 1 in a million ( lucky as FK).
How was Lyoto’s kick better? He landed it on a 47 year old with the worst head movement in the ufc.
International fighter of the year alistair overeem??? He’s a great athlete but all he did was beat werdum in one of the worst headliners of the year and ko’d Duffey. What about silva, GSP, dos santos, Aldo, Lombard to name a few.
Overeem was the Strikeforce champion and a K1 Champion oh and A Dream Champion in one year. Come with a better international fighters resume for 2011. *crickets* *crickets* *crickets*
It makes me happy Gsp didn’t win shit.
from Sept. 2010 to August 2011 he has fought, to decision, Josh Koshcheck and Jake Shields..
the only interesting thing he did all year was get butt hurt when Nick Diaz called him out… he recovered quickly from his butthurtedness though, now nick is the opponent he wants and thats about all he’ll say about it
Nope.. The saint didn’t win any awards.. Except 5 million dollars a fight and still has the WW belt! We know how important winning these awards are.. WHOA NELLIE big fkn deal!
Fight of the year should’ve went to Hendo v Shogun!
“Chris
The range was only from September 2010 through August 31st 2011. Hendo-Shogun will be a nominee next year.”
but yes i agree it was definitely a better fight, if it has any competition for next years awards then we’ll have one hell of a year of fights
Only one fight I can say will be close or better.. CHAELMONSTER v ANDERDOUCHESON 2! Andy’s shoulder is still fkd up from the Chael fight.. Lmao
i have a few problems. **** anderson winning ko of the year as if lyoto’s kick wasnt a million times better. and shawn tompkins should have won best trainer(not just because he’s dead) i mean any coach can give their fighters roids and grease em up. **** greg jackson
Don’t be stupid Steve.. Not a Jackson fan but he prepares his boys full tilt.
Anderson knocked out vitor in the first couple minutes and also was the first person to ko someone with a front kick. Lyotos was defiantly number 2 tho
Blackzillains are winning best gym next year.
Although I don’t like Jon Jones, he deserves fighter of the year over Anderson. How many times has Anderson fought this year?…
I agree with all of these decisions including EDGAR vs MAYNARD for fight of the year. Shogun vs Hendo is a better fight but didn’t meet the deadline. That would then warrant an award for best fight of all time.
