Conor McGregor: ‘I am the main event’

Conor McGregor (13-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) scored a spectacular 67-second TKO victory over Marcus Brimage in his octagon debut at UFC on FUEL TV 9 in April. Now, McGregor looks to build off that momentum when he faces Max Halloway at next weekend’s UFC Fight Night 26 event (formerly known as UFC on FOX Sports 1 1) in Boston.

McGregor’s primary goal each time out is to steal the show, much like he did with his “Knockout of the Night” over Brimage, as he explained during a recent appearance on “The MMA Hour”:

“The opponent does not come into the equation. This is my spot. The Irish are coming home era. Coming to Boston. The Irishmen are coming home to their native land, Boston, United States. The opponent does not come into the equation. I am the main event. If you stick me in the main event, I’m going to steal the show every time.”

Exiting fighter, I will take nothing away from his skill. He will have a tough fight with the young max holloway, should be a war but aside from that….. I’m pretty sure Boston is an AMERICAN city, built by the sons and daughters of immigrants who adopted this nation as their home. If Mexicans and other “illegals” are getting harassed about disrespecting this country than the same should be done to this dude.

McGregor is the man!!!! He is the first fighter in many years that are really exiting to watch… When it comes to immigration, I’m just glad that my family wasn’t part of the cowards that ran to the states…
