“It was a very long process but I’m here in the UFC now so that’s all that matters. I feel great, I’ve been waiting for this a very long time. I have a lot of experience, but I’m taking this very seriously, this fight, and a good performance from me is gonna make a statement. My gameplan is to win. I’m not gonna go out there and say I’m gonna stand-up only, I’m gonna go out there to win, no matter what it takes. If I have to grapple, I’ll grapple. If it has to go to the ground, we’ll go to the ground. At the end of the day, this is MMA.”

I am not insulting anybody man. I am a huge Lombard fan. As of this I believed him when he was getting pumped up by people not wanting to stand with Anderson and claimed he would go for his head with no hesitation. Now that the fight might actually happen you see the shift. He is suddenly gonna do whatever it takes (read wrestle) to win any fight. I would have had no problem with him saying “I would do whatever it takes to beat Anderson if I were to fight him”, would still wanna watch it. I have problem with him claiming he is the only one that would stand with him and then wanting to grapple much lesser striker in Brian Stann
Anderson Silva would kill him. Chael Sonnen would rip him to pieces verbally and phyically. Michael Bisping would just make him look like an average fighter. Vitor Belfort would also kill him. This guy only stands a chance against the average middle weights once he jumps in there with the top 5 he will get destroyed and he will soon be back in Bellator
Anderson, yeah i agree, but chael and bisping i think might get their ass whooped. This is gonna be interesting to see him get tested against the best in the world because even if the people he was fighting before were nobodys he is still a beast. Have you ever watched any of his fights? Dude throws some serious heat. Everyone says he is a juice monster (non-organic) but so is sonnen so maybe we will get to see a 16 man on 16 man match in the octagon.
